The benches fold flat when playtime is done to cover and protect the sand from large animals and debris.However, rain is allowed to drain through to prevent pooling of water on top of the sandbox. Hand grips make it easy for an adult to fold and unfold the benches

Built in bench seat

When the sandbox cover is folded open, it converts into two bench seats on either side of the sandbox. Each seat can support up to 200 pounds and provides plenty of room for several kids. When the benches are unfolded for play, open sand area measures 31 inches x 44.75 inches (there is also sand under the benches).

Adjustable sand depth

The bottomless construction allows you to excavate your lawn deeper inside of the perimeter of the sandbox to adjust the sand depth to suit your kids' imagination! Bottomless construction also allows for easier drainage to prevent water from puddling inside the sandbox.
